Memorial Biography

Les J. Hubbard 49, of Warren, Rhode Island passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2018. Les was born on August 19, 1968, in Lynn, Massachusetts to Joanne and Leslie Hubbard. Besides his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Lori (Macedo) of 21 years. Les also leaves his two children, Jordan ,19 and Dylan, 17. In addition to his children, he leaves his five sisters, Dorene King of West Palm Beach, FL, Kathryn Howarth of Portsmouth, RI, Karen Fryzel of Tiverton, RI, Sharon Senechal and husband, Michael of Barrington RI, JoAnn Goulart and husband Jeffrey of Bristol, RI. He was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Les is a graduate of Bristol High School. He completed ROTC Training in Kentucky. He went on to graduate from the University of Rhode Island. He started working as a young teenager for his family’s sandwich shop Riccotti’s in Bristol, Rhode Island. He went on to work for the Women, Infant and Children program of RI for many years. His true passion was always music. As an accomplished musician he composed and recorded many original albums. He was self taught and mastered the drums, piano, bass, guitar, and harmonica. He performed often for family and fans who would come out to see him play. He enjoyed performing at the Bristol Fourth of July Concert series. He was a member of many local bands over the years. He was an avid reader, a Facebook enthusiast and enjoyed traveling with his family. He was kind, artistic, creative, intelligent and had a wonderful sense of humor. We welcome family and friends to attend and offer their respects to this special man at Smith Funeral and Memorial, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, Rhode Island. Visiting hours are Friday, March 16, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The funeral service at Smith Funeral and Memorial, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, Rhode Island will be held on March 17, 2018 at 10:00 am.
